Uno dei più bei libri che ho letto da poco.
Paolo Cognetti è capace di farti sentire la montagna, senti il fiato che ti manca, le parole che in montagna non servono, il rapporto intimo che, chi ama la montagna, crea con la natura che lo circonda. Ritrovi, senza alcuna difficoltà, la montagna vera, quella spigolosa, che non sempre riesci a domare, maestosa e a volte spaventosa.
In questo romanzo la montagna riesce a svestirti di ciò che è superficiale per farti entrare in dialogo con la terra.
Un libro che ti prende fin dalla prima pagina, in un inno alla montagna, alla famiglia e all’amicizia: quella che lega i due protagonisti, diversi ma complementari, Pietro e Bruno.
Paolo Cognetti racconta un’amicizia vera senza ricorrere allo sdolcinato o al patetismo, lasciando parlare i silenzi, il pudore, le attenzioni, i gesti, lo scorrere del tempo. Anche i destini dei due amici, alla fine del romanzo, dopo che le vite avevano preso strade diverse, si ricollegano alla montagna: chi vi ritorna per sempre, chi è condannato a vagarle tutte, tutte le montagne.
Un libro che non si può non leggere.
