Ghibli is born from the meeting of two distinct intentions.

The first is a declaration of love — yet another one — for the white-grape varieties that grow in our territory: western Sicily, and the Alcamo area in particular. This is a land of strong character, capable of imprinting deep identity traits onto its wines — that unmistakable signature that has always set Rallo’s vineyards apart. The second is a stylistic choice: Malvasia, with its rich and multifaceted aromatic profile, was perfectly suited to this challenge — this search for a white wine that could be both rooted in tradition and thoroughly modern.

Guiding the project, with his customary sensitivity, is winemaker Emiliano Falsini, working alongside the estate’s own oenologist Fabrizio Vella: a collaboration that is, in itself, a guarantee of rigor and vision. The result is a dry, low-alcohol Malvasia — contemporary in spirit and precise in character. A wine that does not seek to impress through excess, but to win you over through balance — between freshness and structure, between fragrance and savory depth, between immediate pleasure and the desire to return to the glass. Because yes, Ghibli is that too: a wine that invites a second pour, then a third, without ever feeling heavy.

It is precisely this quality — its lightness, understood as grace, as measure, as effortless elegance — that suggested the name. Ghibli is the warm wind that blows from the south, moving through the vineyards without leaving a visible trace, yet shifting everything, transforming everything. In the vineyard, after all, only the wind knows how to be truly light.

A choice of the highest quality

The label design is also an integral part of the story. A paper of the highest quality was chosen — the same precious surface that defines the entire Selezioni line — confirming that every detail, at Rallo, is a deliberate choice.

The label

But what makes Ghibli truly unique is its variable label: the wildflowers that grow spontaneously along the vine rows — carried and scattered, one might imagine, by the wind itself — are reproduced using a technique known as variable data printing, which ensures that no two bottles share the same arrangement of flowers. Every bottle is one of a kind. The flowers shift, change position, arranging themselves with the natural randomness of petals carried on a gentle breeze. Like the Ghibli itself: the same wind, always different.
